The DC Department of Parks and Recreation has launched a Youth Development Professional Certification in partnership with the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (GW CEPL).
The goal is to develop youth workers to inspire and lead the generations to come, both locally and globally.Â
We’re excited to announce the second cohort of the Youth Development Professional Certification Program—a unique opportunity for those passionate about supporting and mentoring youth.
In partnership with the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, this 9-month program combines education and mentorship to equip participants with essential skills for youth development across diverse settings.
Program Highlights:
Comprehensive Curriculum: Develop expertise in leadership, coaching, mentoring, trauma-informed practices, and more.
Immersive Learning: Participate in a blend of in-person and virtual sessions, culminating in a capstone project.
